West Lango Diocese Needs Ugx 600M for Bishop’s Consecration

The West Lango Diocese require Uganda shillings 600 million for the consecration ceremony of Bishop Rev. Julius Caesar Nina on December 15th, 2019.
Christians in the Diocese are looking forward to receiving the second Bishop.
Rev. Julius Caesar Nina will be consecrated at St. Peter's Church of Uganda by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Rev. Stanley Ntagali in a ceremony which President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed to be the Chief guest.   

Rev.Nina becomes the second Bishop of West Lango Diocese replacing Rev Alfred Acur Okodi who has reached his retirement age at 65.
Rev Acur was consecrated the first Bishop of West Lango Diocese in 2014.   
Canon Richard Ogwang Odyero, the West Lango Diocese Laity Chairperson also the organizing Committee chairperson says they are prepared to go and bring Bishop elect Rev Nina before his consecration date.  

Ogwang says they are still looking for over Uganda shillings 600 million to facilitate their activities for the consecration of Rev.Nina. 

According to Canon Ogwang, they have so far realized 70% of the total money required to facilitate the event.

Bishop elect Rev.Nina is expected to arrive at the West Lango Diocese on December 6th, a head of his consecration according to Canon Ogwang. He will then be taken for a retreat as he awaits to be consecrated the second Bishop of West Lango Diocese.

Geoffrey Ayo, a Christian at Aboko St. Philip Church of Uganda in Aduku Sub County expressed excitement about the incoming Bishop. Ayo expects Rev Nina to continue implementing the progressive initiatives of his predecessor Rev Acur.   

Jeroline Ongom, 73, a choir member at St. Peter's Cathedral Aduku says their preparations are getting on well as they practice good songs to welcome the second West Lango Bishop.

Reverend Nina was appointed the second Bishop of West Lango Diocese on August 27th, 2019 by the House of Bishops sitting at Namirembe in Kampala.   

His Profile: Born on November 29,1968, a Lango by tribe, a member of Atek Okweromac clan. Hails from Ayer Tekidi village, Okwor parish, Ayer Sub County in Kole district. He is married to Janet Nina and blessed with four children. Holds 34 years of experience in Church Ministry service. Nina was Ordained Deacon on July 30th, 2000 and subsequently Ordained Priest on 30th July, 2001. He served as the Bishop's Chaplain, before becoming the Diocesan Treasurer at Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese, Diocesan Secretary and Archdeacon. He went to Diima P.S and Aculbanya Primary school, Uganda Martyrs Seminary Namugongo, Uganda Christian University-Mukono, CORAT- Nairobi, Kenya. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree in Divinity, Human Resource Management, Diploma in Theology, Diploma in Computerized Accounting, Financial Management and Control.
