Police in Kamwenge have arrested a woman for alleged murder.
24-year-old Naome Ahimbisibwe was arrested on Friday, a week after she fled into hiding.
Ahimbisibwe allegedly murdered her husband Asaph Kasingye, on February 25th and dumped the body inside their house located along the railway station in the busy Kamwenge Suburb.
Iddi Kigeni, the officer in charge of Kamwenge Police station, says the woman was traced to Kampala and arrested by her brother, Edison Muhangi, who is also a policeman in Kampala.
According to Kigeni, the woman was arrested shortly after she narrated the story giving details about how she carried out the murder and how she fled the area.
On arrival in Kamwenge, the woman was immediately detained and claimed sole responsibility for the husband's murder.
Police say that she will appear in court on Monday, to answer charges of murder.
