Namisindwa Residents Lose Animals In Strange Attack

The residents of Magale Town Council in Namisindwa district are gripped with fear following unidentified creatures attacking their animals, leaving a trail of carcasses. The unidentified creature specifically targeted goats and sheep.

Bernard Namaande, the Magale Sub-County LC V Councilor, says that the attacks occurred near Magale Boarding Primary School on Wednesday night. He says that the blood-sucking creatures claimed the lives of two goats and one sheep, consuming only the meat and leaving no trace of blood behind.

Namaande expressed grave concerns about community safety and urgently called upon authorities to launch an investigation into the matter. He also stressed the need for protective measures to safeguard the remaining animals from potential harm.

Emma Bwayo, the Namisindwa District Male Youth Councilor, urged the district security committee to bolster security operations, especially with the upcoming festival season. Addressing the heightened anxiety, Bwayo emphasized the urgency for swift action by authorities to ensure the safety of residents and their livestock.

He also highlighted the prevalent theft of animals, specifically goats and cows, in the district, underscoring the need for heightened vigilance. Julie Solome Namaara, the Namisindwa Deputy Resident District Commissioner, unveiled plans to implement community policing strategies to tackle theft. She stressed the significance of community involvement in combating crime, emphasizing the collective responsibility in maintaining security within the district.
