The Acholi Parliamentary Group has listed seven key demands that they want the government to respond to on the ongoing conflicts over the disputed Apaa land. The demands come in the wake of attacks by unknown armed men that claimed the lives of four people and left four others nursing critical injuries.
The attack happened on Wednesday last week in Te-Okono village in Apaa Township, an area under contention between Amuru and Adjumani districts. The legislators have since given the government a week’s ultimatum and have threatened to boycott parliamentary work if the matter isn’t addressed.
