Kigezi High School Celebrates 100 Years

Kigezi High School in Kabale district celebrated 100 years of existence on Saturday. located at Rugarama Hill in Northern Division, Kabale Municipality, the school was established in 1922 by Protestant Missionaries with the aim of instilling Christian as well as academic values among the learners.

It became a Junior School in 1946 and a Senior Secondary School in 1965. In a speech read for him by Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, the Vice President, President Yoweri Museveni who was the chief guest called for discipline among students and especially warned them to refrain from evil acts of alcoholism, smoking, and sexual promiscuity among others if they are to have a fruitful future.
