Nile Humanitarian Development Agency Distributes 90k Food Packs

The Nile Humanitarian Development Agency has distributed over 90,000 food packs and hosted 80,000 Iftar dinners since the start of this Ramadhan.

According to Haji Issa Kiralila, the coordinator of the iftar program, the food packs contain sugar, salt, spaghetti, beans, maize flour and rice.

Kiralila chatting with Imam Shaffie Kagiko, the UMSC Social Services Secretary.

He revealed this while overseeing the distribution of food packs to an estimated 200 people at the Gaddaffi National mosque on Friday.

He explained that they distributed the food packs keeping with their spirit of supporting needy Muslims during the holy month of Ramadhan.

“Islam encourages us to support people in need. Those who have must support those in need,” he said.

Annually, the Nile Humanitarian Development Agency hosts different people for iftar at their Muyenga based headquarters in Kampala on each day of the holy month of Ramadhan.

In addition to the iftar program, Nile Humanitarian Development Agency also slaughters hundreds of cattle for distribution during the Eid Aduha festivities, sinks boreholes and extends financial assistance to those in need.
