Reporting on Tuberculosis Awards 2011

The Stop TB Award for Excellence in Reporting on Tuberculosis fosters, recognizes and awards outstanding reporting in print that materially increases the public’s knowledge and understanding of tuberculosis (TB), including multidrug-resistant TB, in countries affected by the disease. The award is supported by theĀ Lilly MDR-TB Partnership.

Eligibility

The articles selected for recognition in 2011 must have been published between 1 March 2010 and 31 March 2011 in a general circulation newspaper, magazine or web news vehicle.

There are two categories of awards:

Category 1: articles published by journalists located in a low- or middle-income country*.

Category 2: articles published by journalists located in a high-income country*.

Articles may be co-authored. The author(s) must be a resident of the country in which the article was published. A jury of experts will make selections.
