In a groundbreaking shift, more young girls are breaking gender norms and pursuing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses, which were historically considered male-dominated fields.

The principal of Vision for Africa College, Mukono, Mary Nabuuma, expresses her pride in the increasing number of girls joining TVET courses at the college.

We believe in equal opportunities for all our students. Alexa is a shining example of what girls can achieve in traditionally male-dominated fields. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where every student can pursue their dreams, regardless of gender stereotypes. – Nabuuma

Nabuuma urges other girls to consider TVET courses, emphasizing the diverse opportunities available in these fields. She adds that the college is committed to providing a supportive and empowering learning environment for all students, irrespective of gender.
