Unidentified people have gang-raped a 15-year-old primary school pupil and abandoned her in a bush in Kibuku district.
The teenager, a pupil of Nankodo Islamic Primary School and resident of Nankodo T/Centre, Nankodo Sub-county, Kibuku district, reportedly escaped from school at night to attend a disco dance, where she encountered her ordeal along the way.
According to Immaculate Emily Alaso, the Bukedi North Region police spokesperson, the girl was rescued by local residents who heard her cries for help.
She says that the identity of the perpetrators remains unknown, but the police have initiated investigations to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
