A tragic accident occurred at Muhokya along the Kasese-Isha Highway on Monday evening, resulting in the deaths of three people.
The accident involved a motorcycle with the registration number UBL 953G, which collided with two other motorcycles bearing the registration numbers UFM 625B (Bajaj) and UFA 116N (Haujin). The collision happened when the motorcycle registration number UBL 953G abruptly made a U-turn.
Rwenzori East Police Spokesperson, Nelson Tumushime, reported that two individuals lost their lives at the scene of the accident, while another person passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Ussiah Kule, a resident of Kilembe, Hebert Mugisha, a resident of Kikonjo in Kasese municipality, and a third individual whose identity is currently unknown.
Law enforcement authorities collected the bodies and transported them to Kasese Municipal HC III for postmortem examinations.
