In this week’s National Perspective, we take a deep dive into the debate about the high HIV Prevalence rates in Uganda. Find out why the HIV prevalence in Prisons is higher than the national average.

We feature views from Dr. Nelson Musoba, the Director General Uganda AIDS Commission and Dr. Stephen Watiti, a medical doctor who has lived with HIV for over 30 years. Watiti is also a cancer survivor.

We also have Frank Baine, the spokesman of Uganda Prison Service explain why no condoms will be supplied to prisoners. Those plus the WHO, and UNAIDS position about HIV pre-entry examination is discussed. The biggest question is Why HIV in prisons when inmates are denied conjugal rights.
