Rt.Rev.Gaddie Akanjuna, Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi has asked Christians to use this Easter season in promoting forgiveness as well as banishing the vice of alcoholism, if they are to leave a peaceful life in society.
In his Easter message to Christians released on Saturday during a presser at Diocesan headquarters Rugarama in Kabale district, Bishop Akanjuna expressed concern over increased cases of violence in society starting from homes to governance.
Citing an example of ongoing Ukraine-Russia war, Akanjuna says that it is very unfortunate to see how failure for members of the society to forgive each other has resulted in bloodshed and unending wars.
Akanjuna also says that members of the public should ban alcoholism because it is one of the major causes of accidents especially during such festivities and poverty due to extravagance in buying alcohol
